lizards on toast :: Colorado (personal)

2007-02-15 14:50:31.  I was supposed to work today, but I’m off now. As this is one of those few surprise days off I get, I’m thoroughly enjoying it.  So far all I’ve done is take SPC Tucker to Walter Reed for a medical appointment and watched TV.  All in all, a good start to a day..  I did write a few blog entries while I was in Colorado, but just haven’t posted them yet.  They could use a little polishing.  Anyway, I’ve finally uploaded some of the pictures from the trip.  I’ll be sure to take a lot more, now that we’re going back every six weeks.

.  Colorado was a lot of fun, though the elevation and humidity changes took a while to get used to.  As it stands, I’m definately not wearing contact lenses next time we’re out there.  It got a lot more fun after it warmed up to around 60F with no humidity.  It was only slightly colder than that when we went through garden of the gods;  that’s where I took most of the photos.

.  When we finally got back to Maryland (I’ll post more later about how much fun it is to spend eight hours at the airport in Denver), it was only a few hours before it started snowing.  As of yesterday, we had five inches of snow with three inches of ice on top.  Tucker and I took his truck out in a parking lot and it only sunk down an inch or so.  Unless you stopped in one spot and spun long enough to dig through the ice, anyway.  It’s a lot of fun.

.  I’m going to go and try to clean the study a bit more.  It’s slowly coming along, now that all computer stuff’s been moved into the rack downstairs.  I’ll probably have it completed around the same time we move to a different house.  :]

out.
